Alma Gačanin

Alma Gačanin is a visual artist from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Alma's work deals with critical issues faced by the people of Bosnia. She will be helping to guide us around her hometown. Alma says that her favourite aspect of Bosnia is the opportunity to see so much:

"You can't help the feeling that there is a huge potential here, even though everything is falling apart. Everything is so small and close, and kind of closed off, which makes us Bosnians feel like endangered species, special and vulnerable. As a matter of fact, I love everything about Bosnia, people, culture, history, nature, the illusion that there is so much time ahead of you, especially on sunny days."
