Collection: BAMIYAN COLLECTION

Afghanistan was once home to the tallest standing Buddhas in the world. Having looked out across the beautiful Bamiyan valley for more than 13 centuries, in 2001 the Taliban turned their RPG's on them. Today, only empty niches remain. 

Designed by Millie Marks and handcrafted in Kabul, this collection is inspired by the story of the Buddhas. Each piece features carvings that invoke the pockmarked niches where the Buddhas once stood. Semi precious stones, deep blue Lapis Lazuli and white Spinel, stand symbolically in their place.
