The Story
The Stonemasons
This limited collection of stone tableware was crafted by three Syrian graduates from the World Monuments Fund (WMF) programme currently working as stonemasons in Mafraq, Jordan. Not just beautiful in their simplicity, each set is symbolic of both and ancient craft, and a hopeful future.

World Monuments Fund
Since 2018, WMF has been training Jordanian, Lebanese and displaced Syrians in the art of Conservation Stonemasonry. The project addressed two issues in the region; the humanitarian crisis – by providing a paid skills training opportunity, and secondly; creating a future workforce of stonemasons to help restore and rebuild the regions cultural heritage damaged by conflict.
